Hello All,
I'm new on here and of course of a certain age and am looking for fellow 'Ladies of a certain age' to pal up with for encouragement

Its time to take control (I procrastinate very easily), I have been getting fitter since 2011 and failed every year up till now but its now 2016 and time to take care of me and start getting back to fit....NO MORE EXCUSES!

Is there anyone there?

UPDATE -ONE YEAR ON
Well I'm back its now 2017 and so much for 2016 talk above but things have happened since then and I'm now ready to take back control of me.
I'm recovering from a rear end hit in the back of my car (didn't know such a mediocre impact could have such repercussions) and physio has helped and myself doing stretching and yoga-ish type work, got myself a dog so have to walk more (even though I walk in my job). I have decided I have to spend time on ME!
So I'm learning about macro tracking to stop my bingeing on anything carb that's unhealthy and am looking to start slowly with the Kettlebells again.
Last Edit: 8 years 1 month ago by willowthewisptobe. Reason: UPDATE

Hi
I'm 50 next week and certainly feel 'of a certain age'
I was slim, fit and healthy until my early thirties. Pregnancy seemed to change my metabolism and I've struggled wver since.
I do love exercise, but every time I get into the habit I injure myself and put myself back.
Like you - I'd like to get fit and healthy again and feel it needs to be NOW.
I used to go to a weekly Kettlebell class and loved it. I have a couple if the videos and love the look of all the new ones on this site.
I know building muscle is oarticularly important as you age and look forward to us motivating one another (and hopefully more when they join)
